A five-member, voter-elected Board of Commissioners administers East County Fire and Rescue. The Board meets twice each month, on the first and third Tuesdays at 6:30 PM—usually at Station 91 (next door to Grove Field). 

The Board of Commissioners also meets each month for a Commissioner-Staff Workshop, which generally falls on the first Thursday following the first Tuesday of the month.

Commissioner meetings are open to the public.  The Board of Commissioners allows public comment on matters before them.  All public comment should be made in accordance with the published Citizen Comment Guidelines.
